Global Philanthropic Canada has appointed an innovative fundraising professional, Debra Bond-Gorr, as Senior Consultant effective February 1, 2022. Debra is based in Toronto, Ontario.
Following an illustrious career in marketing and public relations with the for-profit sector including with the fashion industry, Debra turned her attention to her true passion. She began working with not-for-profits which led her to raise over $400 million for causes close to her heart. To say she has been successful is an understatement.
Debra’s approach to fundraising inspires individuals to excel and organizations to innovate. To date, Debra has over three decades of experience in the health and social services sectors. Most recently, Debra was Chief Development Officer with the Centennial Infant and Child Care Foundation. Her work there moved her deeply and she appreciates immensely the relationships she made with her colleagues and the many families the organization supported.

Debra’s background also includes working as a professor at Loyalist College. She thoroughly enjoys mentoring young fundraising professionals. She has also served as Vice President Philanthropy with Prostate Cancer Canada.
Debra holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Studies from Queen’s University. She also holds a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation and a Focus on Learning Certification from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
