During his 15-year tenure at the helm, he provided strategic direction that saw the public foundation’s asset base grow from $115 million to over $267 million, facilitating over $300 million in grants to charities on behalf of its donors. His leadership was instrumental in the organization’s successful rebranding in 2016, which involved a comprehensive redrafting of by-laws, board policies, and governance models.

Darren’s influence extends far beyond his executive roles. He is a past Chair of both the National Board of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) and the CAGP Foundation Board, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing the profession.
