Global’s newest Senior Consultant, Christy is a leader in nonprofit communications and donor relations whose work has been recognized nationally and internationally with awards for creativity, return on investment and long-term impact on philanthropic revenue.
Based in Saskatoon, Christy has over twenty years of fundraising experience. She spent sixteen years in higher education, including her recent role as Executive Director of the University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association and Director of Alumni and Donor Engagement. She has held senior positions in marketing and communications, fundraising and alumni engagement, designing programs that exceed expectations and build high-performing teams. This experience makes her a wealth of information that will benefit Global’s partners and clients in their pursuit to achieve their objectives.
Christy’s natural dedication to philanthropy shines when catching a glimpse of her commitment to volunteering. From work at the national level with the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE) to nonprofit organizations in her local community, her innate passion for the sector is evident.
Not only a Certified Leadership Coach, Christy has a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from University of Saskatchewan and is also the first Global consultant to hold a Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership degree from Carleton University, a program that arose from sector-wide conversations involving Global Philanthropic Canada president, Guy Mallabone.
