Announcing the release of Women Leading Philanthropy: Celebrating the impact, leadership and forward-thinking of women in the philanthropic sector

Women Leading Philanthropy: Global’s fourth Knowledge Creation report for the Canadian philanthropic sector

In a landscape where philanthropy often goes unrecognized, undervalued, and underfunded, one demographic stands out as the driving force behind the transformative change, needed in the sector: women.

In this paper, Global Philanthropic Canada explores the vital role of women in leading the philanthropic sector. We sat down with six remarkable female leaders from across Canada, each of whom bring their unique experience and insight to the roles they hold supporting a variety of causes – from the environment to social services, to culture and capacity building, to higher education, to professional associations, to the arts and culture, to gender and equity advocacy. The author of this paper is Dionne Malcolm, Associate with Global Philanthropic Canada.
