Global’s Atlantic Canadian Team Expands Offerings with John McCabe

John McCabe has over three decades of experience in philanthropy stretching from Ontario, through Quebec and onwards into the Atlantic Canadian provinces. Joining the illustrious team of Senior Consultants with Global Philanthropic Canada as of March 1, 2023, John is looking forward to excelling alongside his Atlantic Canadian team to support and elevate the mission of organizations on the East Coast.

“I am very excited to be joining the Global team in Nova Scotia and excited to work with Brent and Stacey in building the presence of Global in Atlantic Canada,” says John. “One of my career aspirations is to do work that matters and working with this experienced group who is passionate about positively impacting our world, I have no doubt in us achieving this goal.”

Throughout his 30 year career, he has raised well over $75 million for Canadian philanthropic organizations. John is most proud of a $1 million naming donation for the Sussex Recreation Centre in Sussex, New Brunswick – a quaint, gorgeous town, home to Atlantic Canada’s largest hot air balloon festival. We are not entirely certain whether the donation John secured or the hot air balloons are more impressive!

When collaborating with John to elevate your organization’s mission, you will be struck by John’s dedication to support clients in achieving and surpassing their objectives. His breadth of experience gives him a variety of perspectives enabling him to hone in on what an organization needs to do to move the needle. “I’m thrilled to have John join our team,” says Brent Platt, Vice President Atlantic, Chief Technical Officer and Senior Consultant. “He brings a great deal of experience, professionalism and a solid track record to our growing Atlantic Canadian team.”

“I’m delighted to welcome John to the Global team,” adds Guy Mallabone, CEO, President of Global Philanthropic Canada. “His significant experience in campaign fundraising, and deep knowledge of the local community, will be extremely beneficial to our clients.”
