Global’s impact shines a bit brighter in Toronto this fall. Canada’s fundraising consultancy has appointed Jeff O’Hagan as Senior Consultant effective September 1, 2024. Jeff O’Hagan joins Global’s national team of fundraising experts with over twenty-five years of fundraising leadership experience – from healthcare to post-secondary, environment to arts & culture, he is a valuable asset to Canadian non-profits having raised over $1 billion throughout his career.
Jeff has served as a university advancement and foundation executive at various leading national entities. He was CEO of Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation and Vice-President, University Advancement at both York University and Western University. He led teams raising up to $100 million in philanthropic support annually.

A successful campaign strategist with a track record of designing, building and executing comprehensive fundraising and alumni engagement campaigns, Jeff has a well-honed understanding and appreciation of the philanthropic and non-profit landscape. He has built and led diverse and effective staff and volunteer teams that have successfully partnered with donors to make lasting and positive impacts on the community while addressing some of the world’s most pressing societal issues.
Jeff offers a wide range of experience including fundraising leadership and strategy, major and transformational giving, planned giving, donor relations and stewardship, alumni engagement, campaign strategy and execution, volunteer and board engagement, mentoring and staff development. He provides strategic advice and counsel and active fundraising support to philanthropic leaders and boards, enabling organizations to expand capacity, increase fundraising results, and build sustainable programs and teams. With decades of experience in transformational philanthropy, he helps capture the opportunity to build stronger communities and transform lives.
