Red Deer’s Myles Peake appointed Senior Consultant with Global Philanthropic Canada

November brings exciting developments in Red Deer, Alberta for Global. We warmly welcome Myles Peake as Senior Consultant, bringing over a decade of experience in philanthropy and collaboratively raising over $100 million through major and planned gifts, sponsorships, capital campaigns, and marketing and communication strategies. Effective November 1st, Myles joins an integrated team in the Prairies & The North region of fifteen Global Senior Consultants available to support organizations large and small. They are led by Vice President, Corrie Fortner.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Myles to the Global team,” shares Corrie. “He has an entrepreneurial spirit and an internal drive to achieve goals that will serve the clients he supports very well. Myles is an enthusiastic and talented fundraising professional and we look forward to working with him.”

“I am thrilled to embark on this new and exciting chapter where my passion for creating meaningful impact meets the opportunity to drive positive change,” shares Myles. “I’m looking forward to joining a network of amazing and experienced professionals that have helped over 400 organizations and non-profits achieve their goals.”

Most recently, Myles was Director of Fund & Business Development for the Outreach Centre where he established, led, and implemented a fundraising, marketing and communications program that increased the centre’s presence in central Alberta and, as a result, saw an increase in its revenue by $1,000,000 in three years. He established the first annual Christmas Campaign “A Holiday Hope, ” comprising events, direct mail, and holiday appeals. This campaign raises more than $350,000 per year for families in need. Another example of Myles’ innovation in fundraising is the annual “Day of Hope Radiothon” which raised more than $65,000 in one day in 2023.

Myles spent seven years at Red Deer College in multiple roles, notably as the Development Manager in Community Relations and the Business Development Manager in Corporate Services. Responsible for operational management of all revenue-generating programs, he exceeded annual targets of $3 million through annual giving, major gifts, sponsorships, corporate partnerships, and planned giving. Establishing the first centralized sponsorship program for the college, it generated over $2 million in seven years. During this time, he also worked on the “Shaping our Future” capital campaign leadership team, raising more than $88 million to bolster the construction of the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

He has mixed managerial experience, business acumen, and fund development expertise and believes that engagement and building community by mobilizing high-performance teams will lead to improved lives and social impact. He has a versatile skill set and knowledge around “community” – community services, community relations, and community partnerships.

“I’m excited to welcome Myles to the Global team,” emphasizes Guy Mallabone, CEO & President of Global Philanthropic Canada. “His deep knowledge of the central Alberta market, along with his expertise in fund development and strengthening community resources, will be a valuable asset to our clients.”

As of November, Myles offers non-profits a complimentary 30-minute session to assess effective solutions to your most pressing challenges.
