Global’s Role: Audit & assessment, leadership & execution. Global was able to seamlessly embed into the major gifts program, ensuring CARE was able to maintain important donor relationships, while providing ground-level insights into their fundraising operations.
“I think what I really appreciated was the way in which the Global team really elegantly embedded themselves inside CARE, and really “cared” – if I can put it that way – about us! We had a group of consultants from Global Philanthropic Canada essentially embed themselves in the organization and grab ahold of our major gifts program and bring it home for the end of the year. They taught us a whole bunch of things informally along the way about best practices, standards and processes. And the formal assessment was fundamental to how we decided to move forward in reshaping the team and in reconfiguring it across the broader external facing elements of the organization. In every way, the engagement with Global Philanthropic was very positive and fruitful for us.”

“I think Global Philanthropic did an awesome job stepping us back from the campaign launch, refocusing the team and resetting the campaign launch. They looked at gaps in the program and in operations, developed solutions that I think were sensible, highly effective, and respectful to the Advancement Team and TRU, especially given the circumstances. Global got us back to a spot where we could launch it, they added potential donors to our prospect list, they assisted in the search for a new VP External Relations, and they helped to make transition to new leadership absolutely flawless. TRU is better for having worked with Global Philanthropic Canada.”
Matt Milovick, VP Finance and Administration

Right from the get-go, they are part of that foundation and provided that leadership and those friendly reminders that it was about the numbers from the metrics perspective but, of course, it was the mission of our work that was driving that success. Global really did help us think bigger.”
