The Cookie Queens of Canada | Fundraising Podcast

Episode Overview

We’re jetting off to the quaint town of Dunnville, in Ontario’s Niagara peninsula where host Janine Foster chats with Penny Banks, CFRE of the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation. Penny is the passionate and upbeat Executive Director of the foundation and enthusiastically spends a good portion of Smile Cookie Week elbow-deep in cookie dough.

Penny’s organization teamed up with the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign and the union paid off – literally. Since 1996, $77 million has been raised for organizations through smile cookies, and Dunnville’s tiny hospital foundation has fundraised more money than any other organization in Canada. Dunnville is now the “Cookie Capital of Canada” crowning Penny and her team the “Cookie Queens of Canada”.
