As Director of Advancement at the Ontario Agricultural College (OAC) at the University of Guelph, she has spearheaded transformative fundraising initiatives, increasing major and planned giving revenue from $3 million to $15 million over five years. Her expertise in cultivating high-net-worth individuals and securing seven- and eight-figure gifts has been instrumental in advancing institutional priorities.

She has successfully restructured fundraising teams, aligning talent with key opportunities to optimize philanthropic outcomes. She collaborates closely with senior university leadership, faculty, and volunteers to craft compelling funding cases that resonate with donors and drive long-term impact.

Prior to her tenure at OAC, Morag held leadership roles at Trillium Health Partners and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, consistently surpassing fundraising goals and fostering cultures of high performance. She is passionate about leveraging data-driven strategies, moves management, and equity-driven philanthropy to expand donor pipelines and inspire transformative giving.

A recipient of the President’s Award for Exemplary Staff Service and the Innovative Leadership Award, Morag is recognized for her ability to blend vision with execution. She holds a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from the University of Guelph and actively contributes to her community as Vice-President of the East Wellington Family Health Team.

Driven by authenticity, strategic foresight, and a deep belief in philanthropy’s power, Morag continues to lead with impact.

Fun fact: Morag’s early passion for ballet led her to train at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet for a short time. While those formal days are behind her, she still enjoys expressing her love for dance through enthusiastic kitchen dance parties!
