Joining Global’s Ontario team in 2025, Lindsay McDermott is a passionate fundraising leader with over 20 years of experience driving strategic growth for social impact organizations across Canada. Her expertise lies in aligning mission-driven initiatives with funder priorities to unlock sustainable, transformational outcomes.
With a career rooted in community service and enriched by global travel and volunteerism, Lindsay has cultivated deep sector knowledge spanning healthcare, community development, youth engagement, social innovation, and animal welfare. She is known for her authentic, relationship-centered approach—building trust with boards, clients, and colleagues while translating passion into purpose through compelling donor experiences.
Lindsay’s portfolio has generated over $23 million for community-based organizations in roles such as: national grant management at CNIB, major gift program development at the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, and capital campaign leadership for Humane Society London & Middlesex—raising funds in under two years to construct a new animal shelter. Her recent engagements include:

- Interim philanthropic leadership and organizational capacity building
- Fundraising strategy design for grassroots arts organizations
- Year-end appeal execution for youth-focused nonprofits
