Joining Global’s Pacific team in 2024, Judy brings more than three decades of experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, and governance, both within and outside the charitable sector. Judy has built a reputation as a trusted leader in philanthropy and community impact. Her career has spanned senior financial and administrative roles in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors, but her true passion lies in aligning purpose-driven individuals with meaningful impact.
Judy brings a wealth of experience leading organizations through transformational growth. As Chief Executive Officer of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, she stewarded a $7 million annual budget to support healthcare across 135 facilities in northern British Columbia. Under her leadership, the Foundation launched and completed several major campaigns, including the Breast Health Imaging Centre for the North, the Rural Cardiac Care Program, and the Clinical Simulation Lab. Before this, as Executive Director of the Prince George Community Foundation, she guided the growth of assets from $3 million to $11 million, and played a key role nationally on the Governor General’s Task Force to expand access to community foundations across Canada, particularly in Northern BC.
Most recently, Judy served as CEO of the Central Okanagan Foundation, managing $43 million in assets and championing impact investing, equity, diversity, and inclusion as central pillars of community philanthropy. Her vast expertise in community engagement, impact and endowment-based philanthropy has enabled her to excel in creative collaboration, leveraging funds in a way that creates impact far beyond what simple granting is capable of. She is a thoughtful leader for tomorrow, considering not the world we are in, but the world as it moves into the future with technology, climate, social, and impact investment, and a passion to do more with less.
Today, in her role as Senior Consultant with Global Philanthropic Canada, Judy advises boards, executives, and donors on fundraising strategy, capital campaign leadership, community granting and impact, donor stewardship, and governance. She is known for her ability to bring clarity to complex challenges, mentor teams with compassion, and design strategies that turn vision into measurable community impact.
Judy holds the Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D) and has pursued advanced governance and leadership education at Rotman, Ivey, UNBC, Banff Centre, and other professional finance organizations. She is widely respected for her creativity, integrity, and collaborative spirit, and continues to dedicate her career to strengthening Canada’s charitable sector—where impact leads, and practical solutions follow.
