Corrie Fortner is a strategic and relationship-driven fundraising consultant with more than three decades of experience in the nonprofit and public sectors. As Vice President with Global Philanthropic Canada, she works closely with executive leaders, Boards, and development teams to build capacity, strengthen infrastructure, and drive long-term sustainability through ethical, donor-centered fundraising practices.
Corrie brings extensive experience leading complex fundraising initiatives, particularly in capital campaigns and major gifts. She has held senior leadership and fundraising roles with Alberta Health Services, United Way, social agencies such as women’s shelters, member-serving organizations, Indigenous-led organizations, and sports-focused programs. She has supported a wide range of mission-driven organizations across Canada, including those serving rural and grassroots communities. Her work is grounded in strategic planning, collaborative leadership, and a strong commitment to equity and impact.
In addition to her consulting practice, Corrie is a long-time volunteer and community leader. She has served on numerous Boards, including as a Board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and brings her expertise to her role as an adult educator and mentor in the field to these roles.
Whether guiding campaign strategy, strengthening governance, or fostering meaningful donor relationships, Corrie brings a practical and principled lens to every engagement.
