Joining Global in 2025, Christina is based in Vancouver on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples. Christina is a proud second-generation Filipino-Canadian woman and values-driven leader in the nonprofit sector, bringing a collaborative, multi-sector lens to her work.

Over the past 20 years, Christina has built expertise across grassroots women’s and youth organizations, healthcare, higher education, arts and culture, and immigrant settlement. She specializes in supporting organizations that serve diaspora, newcomer, and equity-deserving communities—where trust, culture, and care are essential to effective fundraising.

Her consulting philosophy is rooted in demystifying fundraising. Christina believes fundraising is everyone’s role, and that organizations thrive when staff and volunteers have the clarity, tools, and confidence to sustain success long after her support ends. She is committed to equity and anti-racism, building authentic relationships, and demonstrating that Filipino-Canadian women belong at the centre of nonprofit leadership.

Christina’s recent work includes designing a fundraising strategy for an immigrant settlement organization and supporting charitable readiness for a national Filipino organization. She has served as a trusted advisor to Co. Erasga Dance Society since 2012, providing ongoing strategic fundraising guidance across more than a decade of partnership. Her institutional experience spans leadership roles at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, UBC, and SFU, with foundational experience at BCIT Foundation and the BC Cancer Foundation. Career highlights from her UBC tenure include instrumental donor stewardship for a $2M innovation gift and securing a $200K award supporting Indigenous students. At SFU, she contributed to fundraising for professorships, visiting scholars and student support.

Christina was recognized by the City of Vancouver in 2011 as one of twelve “Remarkable Women, Community Builders” and currently serves as co-chair of the board at Fresh Roots Urban Farm Society and volunteers as a mentor with Dress for Success Vancouver and AFP Vancouver, supporting women and emerging fundraisers in their professional development. She holds a BA in Sociology and Psychology from UBC and an Executive MBA from SFU, and is currently pursuing specialized training in philanthropic advising to strengthen her ability to guide values-aligned giving strategies.

Fluent in English and Tagalog with working knowledge of French, Christina is passionate about supporting organizations that create lasting change in their communities.

Fun Fact: Christina has travelled to the Philippines, Cuba, Mexico, Singapore, and the U.S., and is a proud plant parent to 30+ houseplants. A passionate flower lover—an anthophile—she finds joy in beauty and growth both inside and outside her work. Christina is also a proud bonus mom to a young adult pursuing creative arts.
