Amy Gottung holds over 15 years of experience in non-profit development. She has generated pivotal funding and strategy for dozens of clients large and small, from sectors like food security (Right to Food, North York Harvest Food Bank), social place-making (221A, The Laneway Project), equity in creative industries (Keychange), and science engagement (Royal Canadian Institute of Science), to list but a few. Amy has a strong grounding in culture and media, as a Creative Director/Producer and fundraiser for festivals, public art, documentary, opera, and other trans-disciplinary work. With a facility for cross-sector research and engagement, she has also served as a consultant for cultural policy development (City of Toronto, Vibelab) and as a researcher for multiple international initiatives in support of alternative scenes and spaces (with the Sorbonne Nouvelle, Trans Europe Halles et al.)
Amy is a dynamic, rigourous, collaborative fundraiser whose frequent services include:
– research and strategy (incl. campaign planning, prospecting, audits, feasibility studies)
– grant writing, pitch and case development
– training and capacity-building for lean teams and departments
– stakeholder and audience engagement, with a focus on “next generation” communities and donors
Amy is based in Vancouver, and works frequently between the GTA (ON), Lower Mainland (BC), and beyond. She is a musician and trains jiu jitsu, two practices which continually inform her “growth mindset” approach, professionally and personally.
