January 5, 2022 – Global Philanthropic Canada has appointed a passionate Senior Consultant, Corrie Fortner, as Vice President Prairies. Joining the team in 2018, she contributes immensely to the success and prestige of the Global brand in the western provinces. Corrie is based in Edmonton, Alberta.
Corrie knows fundraising inside and out. With three decades of on-the-ground experience working tirelessly for charities and not-for-profits in front line and management roles, her skillset and leadership is sought out by organizations looking to optimize fundraising potential. Corrie leads and motivates teams to raise funds well beyond their initial objectives. She loves sharing how to navigate organizational change and mergers and work across internal and external systems. Her customized planning catapults fundraising teams to success.
Her work at Global includes innovative partnerships with organizations such as Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters where she researched and secured funding for The Leading Change Expansion Pack project. Corrie also undertakes international projects such as her collaboration with the Association for Preservation Technology leading training and research for their international group.
