Janine Foster-Elmslie Joins Global

Global Philanthropic Canada has appointed respected Ontario fundraiser Janine Foster-Elmslie as Senior Consultant to join the Ontario team, effective immediately. Janine is based in Godfrey, ON.

“Janine Foster-Elmslie is well-known throughout Ontario for her exceptional fundraising career,” said CEO Guy Mallabone.  “Janine brings her excellent writing and interviewing skills from her journalism career. Along with her broad fundraising expertise in higher education, social services and community development, our clients will benefit from her highly developed skillset. We are thrilled to welcome Janine to Global!”

Janine is a storyteller with a head for business and a heart for humanity.

Following a 15-year career as an award-winning business journalist, editor, publisher and radio host, Janine followed her heart into fundraising.

Over the past 20 years, she has worked with organizations large and small to craft their messages and transform their goodwill into working with teams to raise more than $30 million through direct response, planned giving and major gifts.

Among the organizations Janine has advised are the Salvation Army, Queen’s University and St. Lawrence College, where she was campaign director for their largest-ever multi-campus comprehensive campaign. Across three cities and 200 kilometres, that campaign exceeded its goal, two years ahead of schedule.

Janine is an active volunteer and board member with children’s and health-related charities. She is a proud member of AFP and a former Communications chair for the Southeastern Ontario Chapter and former instructor for AFP’s Fundraising Fundamentals program.
