Global’s Quebec expansion continues with appointment of Katie Kostiuk, independent schools specialist

The Quebec team is pleased to welcome Katie Kostiuk as an accomplished member of their collaborative group of seven fundraising consultants. With over twenty years of expertise in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, she is based in Montreal and has extensive on-the-ground experience working with independent schools and small-shop development offices.

A bilingual consultant (French/English), Katie was Director of Advancement at The Study in Montreal for almost a decade. She also worked as Development Officer at the Montreal Neurological Institute (The Neuro). She also has significant experience in marketing and communications work in both English and French.

Katie’s collaborative nature and creativity are acutely reflected in how she works to design and deliver sustainable funding programs and community relations strategies. Having spent her early career working with clients in the pharmaceutical marketing, public relations and medical education fields, she values a results-oriented approach that is most effective through a growth mindset.

Katie is thrilled to join the dynamic Global team, saying, “From the basics of a single annual giving appeal to the sophistication of a multi-channeled and fully integrated fundraising and volunteer engagement program, I work to ensure that my clients feel well supported and guided through a process that fits in their context and within the culture of their organization but, that is ultimately, results-driven.”

“I’m thrilled to welcome Katie to the Global team,” adds Guy Mallabone, CEO and President of Global Philanthropic Canada. “Our clients will be inspired by the energy and commitment that Katie brings as she elevates their organization’s mission.  Her deep expertise in major gift fundraising and strategic fund development, combined with her experience in independent schools make her a huge asset for our clients in Quebec.”

“Global clients can now rely on Katie’s expertise asa bilingual consultant with substantial experience in advancement initiatives within independent schools. She pairs this with her extensive knowledge  in executing successful annual giving campaigns for all types of organizations,” adds Jean-Nicholas Marziali, Vice President Quebec and Senior Consultant.

She is deeply invested in helping organizations and their people reach their fullest potential through goal and mission alignment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Mount Allison University, and obtained her CFRE in 2023.

Katie is now offering a complimentary 30-minute consultation to assess achieving success for your organization.
