Comme la plupart d’entre vous le savent, je publie rarement des articles personnels, mais aujourd’hui, cela fait un an que j’ai annonc\u00e9 mon arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Global Philanthropic Canada. C’\u00e9tait un grand changement pour moi de quitter un poste de chef de la direction l’an dernier, mais c’\u00e9tait la bonne d\u00e9cision, et ce fut toute une ann\u00e9e!<\/p>\n

J’ai profit\u00e9 de plus de temps avec mon mari et mes deux enfants, mes quatre chiens et notre propri\u00e9t\u00e9, ainsi que d\u2019un potager assez productif ces derniers temps, mais j’ai aussi beaucoup appris sur une profession que j’exerce depuis plus de 25 ans!<\/p>\n

Au cours de ma carri\u00e8re, j’ai assum\u00e9 toute une gamme de r\u00f4les et de responsabilit\u00e9s, presque toujours au service de l’enseignement priv\u00e9 et des soins de sant\u00e9 hospitaliers, mais il y a tellement d’autres besoins. Les d\u00e9fis auxquels sont confront\u00e9s tous les secteurs du monde des organisations \u00e0 but non lucratif sont diff\u00e9rents. Les besoins sont immenses, et ce, encore plus depuis la COVID-19 et des lacunes qui en r\u00e9sultent en mati\u00e8re de personnel, de financement et de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles.<\/p>\n

Je souhaite remercier mes clients de l’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, CARE Canada<\/a>, Humane Society London & Middlesex<\/a>, Headwaters Health Care Foundation<\/a> et le Conseil d\u2019adoption de l\u2019Ontario<\/a>. Ils m’ont permis de conna\u00eetre leurs organisations, ainsi que les r\u00e9percussions des politiques et des iniquit\u00e9s du point de vue local, provincial et international, les mod\u00e8les de financement et l’importance du plaidoyer sous toutes ses formes.<\/p>\n

En me joignant \u00e0 Global, j’ai l’occasion de pouvoir continuer \u00e0 apprendre dans la vie r\u00e9elle, chose que nous faisons rarement en dehors des conf\u00e9rences et des cours. Chaque jour, il y a quelque chose de nouveau \u00e0 voir, \u00e0 apprendre ou \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser, quelques fois de bonnes ou des mauvaises choses, ou encore entre les deux. Rejoindre Global m’a rappel\u00e9 dans quel milieu extraordinaire nous travaillons, et quel impact nous avons toutes et tous, nous qui travaillons dans le secteur caritatif, chaque jour, quelle que soit la taille de l’organisation caritative ou de la cause que nous servons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
