Judy joined Global’s Pacific team in 2024. Specializing in healthcare, community & social engagement and education, she is a results-oriented and driven professional with experience developing and implementing successful fundraising plans with a focus on creative and direct marketing.
With extensive experience in both industry and the charitable sector, her career moved through family, corporate, public service, associations, industry, and charitable entities. She served on the Governor General’s Task Force to ensure that all communities are serviced by or retain their community foundation. During her six years as a community foundation leader, she was instrumental in setting up several such foundations in Northern British Columbia and the Cariboo.
With a passion for north and interior regions of British Columbia, she led and marketed major capital campaigns centered around how education meets much-needed medical equipment, far beyond what the provincial healthcare system can support. She maintained a focus on delivery of rural health care and services. Judy served as a coach and mentor for over ten years to award-winning business students through Jeux de Commerce West (JDC) and International Genetically Engineered Machine (IGEM) students at the University of Northern BC. An experienced CEO, she recently relocated to the Okanagan to pursue her love for all aspects of community engagement, including arts and culture, sports and recreation, education, and the environment.
Judy believes “anything worth doing is worth doing well and should have IMPACT.” Her strength and passion for the charitable industry combined with her creative outlook is inspiring. She is an established event planner and fundraising professional for two decades and possesses extensive experience in cases for support and annual campaigns, major and corporate giving including sponsorships, and direct ongoing fundraising programs.
Fun Fact: Judy supported her award-winning NFP team at UNBC in their fundraising multiple times by taking the plunge. The event called “Chillin 4 Charity” was held every November, in Prince George BC, with the lowest temperature being -32C!
