Jon joined Global in 2018 with the desire to have greater impact as a consultant. Now, as a shareholder and chair of GPC’s Strategic Growth committee, he is engaged not only a wide range of personal clients but also in how Global can have a national impact on the non-profit sector.
Some of his more recent clients are Celiac Canada, Toronto Waldorf School Foundation, and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. The scope of his recent work ranges from creating a brand new development department, shifting an organization from member-based to philanthropic focused, walking with a board become more philanthropic and focused, and developing actionable strategic plans.
He is known for his listening and facilitating skills, ensuring all parties are heard and valued, all while moving the organization forward. These skills are particularly valuable in strategic planning and board trainings. He is passionate about spurring organizations to strategic action.
Beyond his 25+ years of non-profit experience, Jon has honed his strategic and business skills through an MBA with a non-profit focus. He will soon complete his Executive Coaching Certificate (April 2025) and is a member of the International Coaching Federation. Jon has been an active member of AFP since 1996 in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Pennsylvania and Ontario.
Fun fact: Jon is a long-time Ultimate Frisbee player and holds his coaching certificate.
