She has an immense depth of experience in all areas of fund development with expertise in managing capital campaigns and raising major gifts. She has led teams to achieve success by engaging clinicians and front-line care teams in grateful patient giving, motivating, teaching and coaching development staff, engaging leadership by bringing donors, board members and campaign volunteers together to exceed their goals.
She has secured leading gifts with naming rights for teaching and research centres and has raised over $150 million for campaigns that achieved their vision of creating new centres of excellence, improvements for delivering healthcare, teaching facilities and advancing medical research.
Fun fact: Barbara loves to travel both in Canada and throughout the world stepping on soil from the most northern, to western, eastern and southern points of Canada, the United States, United Kingdom and South America.
