Global Philanthropic Canada has appointed successful expert fundraiser Dora Boylen-Pabst as Vice President Ontario & Senior Consultant, effective August 1, 2021. Dora is based in Schomberg, ON.
“Dora brings both a fresh perspective and significant success to the Global team,” said CEO Guy Mallabone. “We’re excited about Dora’s enormous capabilities in both hospital fundraising and independent schools. She understands the intricacies of foundations, capital campaigns, strategic planning and program and staffing audits. She is a terrific asset to our team!”
Dora is a 25-year veteran in the not-for-profit sector, the past 13 years as CEO of Headwaters Health Care Centre Foundation in Orangeville, ON, and Vice-President at both North York General Hospital Foundation and Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation. She led several capital campaigns, raising over $140 million for programs, infrastructure, and equipment, working closely with internal and external communities that depend on hospitals for exceptional care, close to home.
Dora also gained over seven and a half years of experience in increasingly senior roles within the independent school sector, including at Pickering College, Bayview Glen and Havergal College.
Dora has had particular success merging the goals and results of marketing and fundraising to deliver comprehensive proposals and stewardship to donors, and brand exposure to charities.
Dora has held her Certified Fundraising Professional Credentials (CFRE) since 2001 and her National Certificate in Fundraising Management, as well as certifications in Boards and Governance, Gift Planning and Non-Profit Management and Leadership. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Canadian Association of Women Entrepreneurs & Executives (CAWEE) and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP). She volunteers extensively at a variety of organizations.
