Alberta’s Kent Stucky appointed Senior Consultant with Global Philanthropic Canada

Global Philanthropic Canada is proud to announce the appointment of Kent Stucky as Senior Consultant in the Calgary region. Kent has an overwhelmingly diverse and fascinating career journey making him a true asset to the Global family. He joins a team of fifteen Senior Consultants in the Prairies and The North region led by Vice President, Corrie Fortner.

“As soon as we met Kent, we knew he would be a great addition to the Global team,” shares Corrie. “Kent has so much to offer clients in terms of his wisdom and expertise, and his delivery is genuine, thoughtful and kind. Kent echoes Corrie’s enthusiasm about joining Global stating, “I am delighted to be joining Global Philanthropic Canada and look forward to helping organizations advance their missions through greater fundraising effectiveness.”

With over four decades of experience in fund development and advancement leadership, Kent is an experienced leader with demonstrated success in high education advancement. He is skilled in planned and major giving, annual giving, nonprofit management and board service, executive leadership and philanthropy. His liberal arts education was further broadened by law school, international service and seminary studies. He has held senior postings as Vice President for University Advancement and Vice President for Development at Trine University; Associate Vice President for University Development at Loyola University Chicago; and Vice President for Advancement at Goshen College. He also served as a Country Representative for the Mennonite Central Committee.

As an advancement consultant during the past seven years, he has held interim leadership assignments through the Registry for College and University Presidents including leading fundraising programs at The University of Texas at Tyler, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and Goshen College.  He also provided fundraising consulting services for faith-based and community service-focused organizations.

Kent has a Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School; a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary; and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Goshen College.

As of November, Kent offers non-profits a complimentary 30-minute session to assess effective solutions to your most pressing challenges.
